Job Description:

This position will be responsible to provide continuous monitoring and management of both unclassified and classified networks. Provide rapid recovery of network outages and conduct network maintenance while receiving work direction from the Network Operations Lead. Execute conference calls for assigned maintenance activities and outages. Update and resolve outages and maintenance using Service Manager ticketing system. Generate reports as required for review by the Network Operations Lead for assigned outages. Personnel will be responsible in understanding and ensuring compliance for meeting critical Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).


Duties will include monitoring and maintenance of all the routers, switches, TACLANEs, WAN Accelerators, Firewalls, and Load Balancers used to provide connectivity and communication necessary for all enterprise users to access the server and systems needed to perform their duties. Network Administrators must possess knowledge of router and switch technology, configuration of such devices, and have the experience required to verify operational readiness and availability. In addition, candidates should have the basic understanding of network management tools (i.e., HP Network Node Manager (NNM), HP Network Automation (NA), NMIS, Riverbed Cascades) necessary to troubleshoot and efficiently manage these devices.

- US Citizen
- Active Top Secret, MUST be SCI eligible
-Troubleshooting network outages
-Troubleshooting testing various WAN circuits (Serial T1, DS3, OC3, OC192, Ethernet TLS)
-Upgrading Cisco Routers and Switch IOS software
-IOS CLI and basic commands used to troubleshoot
-Using tools such as ping, traceroute, etc. to isolate network issues and outages
-Working with access control list (ACLs)
-Creating and updating tickets and reports related to network problems, issues, and trends
-Working with STP, VLANs, VTP, DTP, and LACP, CDP, 802.1Q, and port security
-O&M of Cisco 1800, 1900,2800, 2900, 3800, 3900, 7200, ASR 1000 series routers
-O&M of Cisco 2900, 3750, 4500, 6500 Series switches
-O&M of Cisco ASA 5500 Series Firewalls
-O&M of Cisco WAE 612, WAE 7341, NME-WAE, WAAS 674 WAN Accelerators
-O&M of General Dynamics KG-175A, KG-175D TACLANEs
