Job Description

STATIONARY ENGINEER

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in troubleshooting and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration

Working knowledge of Siemens Building Automation Systems

Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters, and charts that record various aspects of the system's operations at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.

Adjust controls to ensure safe and efficient operation of the system to meet the demands for the specified service.

Perform inspections as necessary to verify that the designated facilities are functioning within condition limits for the purpose intended.

Conduct water tests and make necessary adjustments to pumps, softeners and controllers.

Maintain a log in which various aspects of the system's operation are recorded, e.g. run time, system pressure, filter differential pressure. Temperature, equipment status, water levels, voltage load, analysis of flue gases and generator balance.

Keep designated equipment and machinery in working order by performing such tasks as tightening fittings, repacking bearings, replacing packing glands, gaskets, valves, recorders and gauges, and cleaning and replacing burners or other components, using hand tools and power tools.

May operate computer control system to accomplish specific tasks relating to building and equipment operation.

Inspects mechanical equipment such as cooling units and filters.

Performs routine tasks such as cleaning and oiling cooling units, cleaning coils in cooling towers, changing belts, and lubricating equipment.

Performs low voltage wiring tasks and performs regular maintenance checks.

Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Perform any other related duties as assigned.

  Job Requirements  

REQUIREMENTS:

Completion of a basic HVAC program or minimum of one-year experience as an O&M Stationary Engineer I.--

Knowledge of engineering fundamentals necessary for effective and safe operation of complex electrical and mechanical building equipment and systems.

Capable of effectively representing client to the customer.

Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment

**MUST be FLEXIBLE and ABLE to work 2nd or 3rd shift.***
