Job Description


•Primary responsibilities is to maintain Production equipment and fabricate parts that are no longer available through the manufacturer.
•Maintain department tools and equipment, including inventory and repair
•Participate in new equipment, modifications or special projects
•Machine parts to specification using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers and grinders, drill press
•Measure, examine and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers
•Set up, adjust and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations
•Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and material into machines
•Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
•Study sample parts, blueprint, drawings and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operation needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances
•Select the appropriate tools, machines and material to be used in preparation of machinery work
•Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


•Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
•Fabrication and machine shop proficiency
•Welding experience – Mig/Tig/Arc/Oxy- Aceylene (PLUS)
•Problem-solving, prioritization and multi-tasking skills are required
•Excellent attention to detail/accuracy and organizational skills
•Be able to calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and Vernier calipers
•Skilled in the use of associated shop equipment such as hydraulic press, band saws and drill presses
•Be able to lay out, measure and mark metal stock in order to display placement of cuts
