Job Description

Our client is a distributor of power generator sets, engines, and switchgear for several major equipment manufacturers. They are looking for a Service Coordinator.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs):
• Answering incoming service calls, opening customer jobs and scheduling technicians.
• Prepare customer quotes based on service requirements.
• Scheduling customer start-ups.
• Collecting time cards for all hourly employees.
• Posting technician hours and parts cost to service jobs.
• Handling all incoming requests for Certificates of Insurance.

• Must be able to handle multiple priorities and competing tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptionally strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills are required
• Must be able to deal with customer problems, employee discipline issues, and other difficult situations in a professional manner and be able to communicate effectively, orally and through written documentation with people at all levels
• Must be able to proactively work with co-workers to ensure a smooth workflow and that customer needs are being addressed
• Must be able to establish priorities and initiate problem solving techniques to resolve critical issues • Must be able to deliver on commitments and meet or exceed departmental goals and objectives

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associates or bachelors degree in accounting, business or other related area is preferred (equivalent experience in a similar role or a combination of experience and education is acceptable)
• At least 2 years’ experience working with work order billing systems is a plus
• Industry experience in a technical and/or service-based business is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel) is required
• Experience with Southware software is a plus
