Job Description:
Our client is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm, specializing in design, construction management and inspection, right-of-way, geotechnical, environmental, non-destructive testing, asset management and more. This highly reputable professional service organization is seeking to hire an experienced Civil Design / Water Resources Engineer to work as integral part of a growing municipal engineering design team in their Columbus, Ohio office on projects involving site/civil design, water distribution, street rehabilitation; sanitary and stormwater infrastructure design, etc. for a variety of clients across the Midwest.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
-10+ years of Relevant Experience
-P.E. or ability to obtain in 9 months from date of hire
-Demonstrated Experience in Civil and Water Resource Design including Sanitary and Stormwater Management, Hydraulic/Hydrologic Modeling
-Proficient in AutoCAD 3D, Microsoft Office, etc
-Experience managing staff, interacting with clients, building client relations, planning, organizing, and developing an office are a plus
-Ability to assist with development of project scope, budgeting, and scheduling
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Excellent technical writing skills

Job Responsibilities (Not Limited To):
-Perform as lead engineer in the development and application of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling and analyses related to a variety of water and resource engineering design projects
-Mentor junior staff in various areas including hydraulic and hydrologic modeling
-Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering evaluation and design tasks
-Develop high-quality technical reports, design drawings, and specifications
-Prepare engineer's construction cost estimates and evaluate quantitities
-Serve as a task manager leading technical aspects and design team for an overall project
-Oversee/manage subcontractors for project related field work or site inspections
-Attend client and public meetings
