Job Description

Well-established SBA-Qualified and ISO 9001:2008 Certified Small Business specializing in delivering focused program management and technical services is looking for Senior Construction Managers for upcoming national disaster projects.

Applicants must be willing to commit to a deployment anywhere in the United States for the duration of their assignment. Assignments have the potential to go 6-12 months (not guaranteed). Travel and lodging expenses are reimbursed per standard government per diems. Long hours are a potential for this project. Applicant must be willing to work at least 6 days per week, if needed.

Responsibilities and Duties:

•May perform damage assessments of public facilities and infrastructure to determine eligibility for
FEMA funding and extent of applicable damages in accordance with FEMA policies and procedures
and make recommendation on reparability of damaged structures.
•Develop Project Worksheets (PWs), damage descriptions and dimensions (DDDs) and Scopes of
Work. This includes gathering any records, blueprint and other data that may affect funding
•Conduct detailed estimates utilizing RS Means, CostWorks and FEMA’s Cost Estimating Format
•Develop Hazard Mitigation Grant Proposals
•Provide guidance and ensure special considerations and compliance issues have been address in a
specific area of expertise.
•Regular interface with FEMA, Local Governments and contractors.

Plan, direct, and coordinate a wide variety of construction projects, including the building of all types of residential, commercial, and industrial structures, roads, bridges, wastewater treatment plants, and schools and hospitals. Coordinate and supervise the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction, making sure that the project gets done on time and within budget.

Job Requirements

Sr. Construction Managers should have a degree (most likely construction management) and either 15+ years of relevant experience in architecture, construction/project management and/or estimating (no requirements for license or certifications) or 10 years and a current CCM (Certified Construction Manager) license.


•A minimum of 15 years of experience in your field of expertise within the commercial and/or
public industries including, but not limited to, government entities/facilities, medical facilities,
schools, transportation (roads and bridges), water/waste treatment and utilities/power.
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in construction, building or construction
•US Citizenship is a requirement. Applicants must be willing to be fingerprinted and undergo and
pass a rigorous background check to obtain a security clearance.


•Professional Registration or Certification including a current CCM (Certified Construction Manager)
•Experience with FEMA Public Assistance is a plus, but not required.

Situational Awareness:

During site assessments, if required, conditions may be austere including prolonged exposure to excessive heat and cold, prolonged sun exposure and no electricity, heat or air conditioning. These assessments may require extensive walking and standing for long periods of time; working in small spaces, tunnels and ditches; climbing ladders or stairs; walking/working on uneven surfaces; and lifting up to 25 pounds.
