Job Description

Work for a Central New Jersey area company that develops sample solutions for beauty industry.

Quality Control Production Team Leader:

Job Purpose:
Responsible for the shift in regards to overseeing the other 4 inspectors, be able to utilize our MRP system and other customer systems for job preparation, trouble shoot, investigate, resolve nonconformance's.

Essential Functions:
1.Manage and analyze all components bulk & raw material demands in order to support production demands in multiple company facilities in a cost effective manner.
2.Responsible for effective vendor management by obtaining requisitions, placing of purchase orders, tracking inbound materials, monitoring delivery and resolving any discrepancies to ensure that the all components & raw materials are available in a timely manner to support production. This includes scheduling vendor conference calls, receipts verification & follow-up on A/P issues.
3.Partner effectively with Customer Project Management group, warehouse and other departments as needed to support and execute the production plan.
4.Effectively use the Monarch system for demand analysis, PO placement, updating specifications, BOM analysis and general problem solving.
5.Partner with QA team as needed to certify new materials, obtain relevant documentation and proactively resolve quality issues.

Additional Responsibilities:
1.Other duties, as assigned.

  Job Requirements  

1.Minimum BS Degree in Business or a combination of equivalent education and work experience.
2.Minimum three to five (3-5+) years of work experience in procurement, production of materials or related supply chain activities including being a department hands on lead.
Emphasis on laminate is a plus.

1.Must be organized, detail-oriented, with strong problem solving ability.
2.Demonstrated time management/organization skills •focus on priorities.
3.Must have strong internal/external customer service orientation with emphasis on production, supply chain, quality and safety

1.Must have strong analytical skills and be familiar with problem solving tools.
2.Must have knowledge of tools/processes to monitor supply chain, inventory and production material demands, make recommendations to reduce excess or obsolete inventory if applicable.
3.Familiar in the use of Monarch system or similar ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
4.Familiar with BOM verification and BOM construction process.
5.Emphasis on Laminate.
6.Proficient with Microsoft Suite of Products.
