Job Requirements

Job Responsibilities:
•Perform both routine and more complex analytical and characterization work on raw material, in-process, and final product methods while under direct supervision.
•As necessary, they may be given samples submitted by the Chemical Process R&D group for analysis as well as reference standard qualification work.
•Independently collect, organize, and record laboratory data in accordance with applicable cGMP regulations and company Standard Operating Procedures.
•Monitor instrument performance and/or assay results
•Report method deviations and out-of-specification results to their supervisor for investigation.
•Review and follow the current methods and procedures outlined in the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) as required.
•Documented all work in one or more of the following places: the Chemist’s Laboratory Notebook, instrument logbooks, standards logbooks, sample tracking records, test reports, and other documentation required by policies and regulations.
•Data check other analyst’s test results for test procedures for which they themselves are qualified. Signoff as having confirmed that the work is complete, accurate, and adheres to regulatory guidelines.
•Type up daily reports

Essential Skills and Experience:
•Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry or a related science
•At least 2 years of method validations experience
•Proficiency with GC and/or HPLC instrumentation; Empower experience
•Ability to exercise independent judgment in the application of scientific principles pertaining to analyses as related to this business and operation
•Good analytical technique
•Strong communication skills; written and verbal
