Job Description

Well-respected and growing civil engineering firm in suburban Philadelphia is seeking a Project Manager to join their team. As a Project Manager, you will be accountable for profitably and efficiently managing projects through their life-cycle in a way that produces quality results, production team and client satisfaction, and ultimately yields repeat business and attracts new clients.

The following is a list of all strategic and tactical work for which this position is accountable:

Strategic Work:
- Assist in the continual development of subordinate staff.
- Ensure repeat business from current clients.
- Assist with business development by leveraging project networks, attendance at industry events, and actively managing on-line presence.
- Continual assessment of LEC project management, design and permitting processes for possible improvements.
- Provide service and consulting to clients from a �partnership•perspective.
- Attend and contribute to LEC PM Sessions to ensure continual improvement.

Tactical Work:
- Consult with clients on initial project strategy.
- Prepare and process proposals.
- Setup and manage projects utilizing Ajera.
- Assist with initial project planning and layout (redlines, etc).
- Perform code review and analysis.
- Manage subconsultant relationships and contracts.
- Properly prepare for production (work strategy, Kick-Off meetings, staff communication, time and resources planning).
- Manage production process using Ajera, Calendar, meetings, calls, etc.
- Perform Quality and Construction Checks.
- Prepare for and hold Post-Production Assessments.
- Oversee/perform agency submissions and communications.
- Oversee the preparation of Exhibits and Renderings
- Oversee the preparation of OPC's.
- Properly manage project files in accordance with LEC SOP.
- Prepare for and provide testimony at meetings/hearings.
- Properly manage client contracts, change orders and out-of-scope services.
- Prepare and Issue Invoices.
- Effectively manage client A/R's .
- Effectively communicate and document project issues/risks to clients.
- Ensure value-based design.
- Prepare Microsoft Project timelines for projects as appropriate.
- Prepare and issue Project Status Reports to clients on a bi-weekly basis as appropriate.
- Ensure that projects are properly prepared for construction (construction check, permitting completeness, precon, LEC standard letters, etc).
- Manage Construction-Phase services (RFI's, Submittals, Issues, Close-Out).
- Complete timesheets and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Properly manage project coverage while on vacation or during schedule conflicts.
- Ensure production calendar is up-to-date daily and communicate with other PM's when conflicts occur.
- Attendance on weekly PM calls.
- Maintain PE status and adhere to applicable Continuing Education requirements.
- Stay current on regional development, industry and client news.

  Job Requirements  

The desired applicant will have 15+ years•experience managing private land development projects within the PA/NJ market (DE/MD experience a plus as well). PA PE License is a must.

The applicant must have excellent communication skills and a full understanding of the land development design and permitting process.
