Job Description

Position: Project Manager
Location: Baltimore, MD

Professional engineering, land surveying, and technician firm specializing in the utility mapping industry requires a Project Manager in their Baltimore, MD office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage and oversee office and field operations including scheduling and project management
• Communication skills between field staff, clients, DOTs, subconsultants
• Prepare project specific proposals and cost estimating
• Ability to create, track, and update budgets and schedules
• Prepare direct labor and unit price invoicing
• Maintain office profit margin
• Perform QA/QC reviews of utility designating mapping plans
• Solicit utility records and utility coordination
• Sign and Seal Subsurface Utility Engineering deliverables
• Business Development including project detection and teaming opportunities
• Participate in transportation and/or national associations such as NSPLS, ASHE, ASCE, UESI
• Secure highway occupancy and other necessary permits

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Have general knowledge of Civil Engineering and/or Surveying principles – emphasis in transportation and/or utility engineering
• 5 or more years of experience
• Licensed Surveyor in Maryland or ability to obtain license within one year of start date required.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Able to use MSOffice products
• Ability to use AutoCAD/Microstation is a plus
