Project Electrical Engineer
Locations: Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD

Our Client has a firmly established reputation as one of the world's premier practices in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and telecommunications engineering.
They are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join their team at either their Washington, DC or Bethesda, MD location. Our client provides cutting edge solutions for Health Care, Science and Technology, Education, and Commercial Sectors.

Daily Responsibilities:

•Develop the electrical systems of a given project based on Scope of Work and/or client's RFP.
•Provide engineering design, evaluation, planning and construction administration of power, lighting and fire alarm systems for health care, science and technology, education and commercial projects.
•Prepare overcurrent protection coordination and short circuit calculations to select and determine AIC ratings of equipment, accordingly.
•Prepare voltage drop calculations.
•Develop reports/studies.Writing/editing project specifications.
•Conduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing electrical and fire alarm systems.

  Job Requirements  

Requirements:

•5-15 years of design experience.
•Excellent work ethic and attitude.
•Good communication and time management skills.
•Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office experience is a plus.
•PE preferred. LEED certification/experience a plus.
•Experience with Laboratories/Medical Facilities is preferred.Familiarity with codes, standards and design guidelines.
