Job Description

Work directly for a growing Central New Jersey area full-service contract filler of products primarily used in the personal care industry.

Product Development Representative:

Summary:
The PD Rep will be an integral part of our growing team and will manage timelines, costs, packaging, processes and approvals for our Customers•product launches. The PD Rep will be responsible for working with internal & external cross-functional teams to ensure timely product delivery. The right candidate will be someone who is process-oriented but is flexible enough to deliver projects on-time, even when the unexpected happens!

Responsibilities:
••Manage all aspects of assigned NPD projects: costing, timelines, packaging, service, documentation, system data, etc.
••Collaborate directly with R&I and Customer Service to fully support the customer's project (The Commercial Team).
••Collaborate directly with Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and Production (The Operations Team)
••Exhibit strong communication, organization, collaboration, accuracy and consistency as it relates to work activities.
••Understand and maintain company process, documents and procedures
• Manage the New Product Development tasks, which include
o Establish product briefs for all new customers.
o Coordinate an official kick-off meeting with internal and external (customer) contacts to align project scope, timing, and project parameters.
o Work closely with the R&I Lab to ensure sampling and sample timelines are being met.
o Establish a risk analysis regarding formulation, packaging, timing, cost, and operations.
o Track, resolve, and escalate critical issues to minimize project risks & delays.
o Attend customer meetings and/or conference calls and publish meeting minutes

• Abide by all safety procedures and practices as it relates to the Production and Laboratory areas.
• Approach work with a positive attitude and embrace the culture and work environment.

  Job Requirements  

Qualifications
••Bachelor's degree in a related field
••Project Management experience in the beauty or consumer goods industry preferred
••Experience with aerosol technology not required, but a bonus.
••Must possess excellent computer & communication skills (verbal & written)
••Must be proactive and meet deadlines
••Highly organized with the ability to multi-task across many ongoing projects
••Solutions oriented & a critical thinker
