Job Description

Process Engineer
Job Tasks
•Leads the development and execution of machinery installation, qualification, validation, and revalidation activities including SOP’s preventative maintenance plan, and training.
•Leads cross-functional team activities in the development of new prototype and production products, processes, and equipment.
•Understands the function and application of new equipment to support the integration into production, including training and process development as required.
•Leads and champions safety, cost reduction efforts, and quality improvements via production manufacturing process improvements, worker training, et al.
•Conducts time studies and determine if rates and routing are accurate and implement corrective actions.
•Work with management to develop standards for design and production
•Analyze workflows within and across all departments to develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process.
•Analyzes broad and complex issues leading to the formulation and execution of strategies to ensure that deadlines and priorities for are met in a cost effective manner with highest level of quality.
•Ensures targets are met. Develops departmental metrics that support company goals and demonstrates continual improvement.
•Monitors operations that lead to preventative actions.
•Aids the quality unit during routine and non-routine inspections, audits, investigations, corrective action requests, and customer visits to assure positive outcomes.
•Site lead for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS).
•Site lead for Capital Projects.
•Aids in the development of annual expense and capital budgets.
•Establishes, tracks, and controls departmental budgets, goals, objectives, timelines, and capital projects.
•Manages and develops direct reports (if any) through counseling, performance reviews, and training based on company policies, departmental objectives, and regulatory compliance.
•Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.

Physical Requirements

Education/ Experience
•College graduate. Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in related science or engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
•At least 10 yrs. experience in a process-oriented production environment. Extrusion experience a plus.
•Proven work record to include the ability to perform all the following:
