Job Description - Process Engineer

Objective:
The goal of this position is to apply the company's biological and physical chemical technologies to solve odor and air emission challenges in new ways for industrial applications. The oil & gas, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, waste to energy, and other industries are using conventional methods for management of emissions and odor. The company's biological processes can provide more cost effective and sustainable solutions to these industries.

Responsibilities:

•Support the Sales team by finding process solutions to industrial emission and odor control opportunities.
•Take responsibility for Process Department, and answer daily process questions
•Daily project execution support by creating equipment Design Summaries, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and helping with overall process design for the full-scale systems
•Daily Service support for project commissioning to help with troubleshooting efforts on existing projects
•Designing, implementing and execution of company's projects, including odor testing and data analysis at potential equipment installation sites
•Perform company's projects at customers locations
•Visiting sites of existing equipment for process troubleshooting or research/data collection purposes
•Daily support for Research and Product Development:
Oversight and mechanical operation of R&D projects
On-site data collection for the existing Research and Development Projects
Data organization and classification for existing Research and Development Projects
Data analysis and kinetic modeling for the existing Research and Development Projects
Writing of reports to summarize research findings
Write abstracts and white papers for select events
•Development of new research projects to maintain company's status as an industry leader
•Company may assign other assignments for which you are deemed capable.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

•Bachelors or Masters (or equivalent) degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering from an accredited college/university with a focus on biological sciences
•Min. 5 years work-related experience
•Excellent problem-solving skills
•Willingness and interest to perform hands-on field research
•Have strong organizational, documentation, and writing skills
•Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
•Have a professional aptitude and positive attitude
•Excellent ability to communicate clearly with all project stakeholders & produce documentation of same
•Proficiency with computers and MS Office software. Strong skills in Excel and process modeling software
