Our client is a well established computer consulting company in New Castle, Delaware that provides computer and network consulting services for small to mid-sized businesses in the area. We have an immediate opening for a candidate who is looking for an exciting and challenging position working with a great team. This person will have the opportunity to work with many different systems and end users. It is a salaried position with the potential to earn bonuses.

Position Overview:

This is a full-time position for a Network Server Administrator. It involves installing and supporting workstations, servers and peripheral devices on Windows networks. Typical work includes hardware and software support on PC’s, Macs, Windows and Linux Servers and network equipment.

Candidates must also have a good working knowledge of some or all of the following:

•Windows desktop operating systems
•MS Outlook in an Exchange Server environment
•Spyware removal
•MS Exchange
•Windows Terminal Server
•Citrix Server and Supporting products
•Backup Exec and other backup and restore software
•Symantec Enterprise antivirus software
•IIS Server
•SQL Server
•Network Printers
•Network Connectivity
•PC and Server hardware upgrade and repair

Candidates must meet the following job requirements to be considered:

•Two or Four year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems / Technology or a related engineering discipline
•Minimum 5 years experience in implementing or supporting Windows Networks
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Strong troubleshooting skills
•Highly professional demeanor
•Strong expertise in desktop hardware and software including MS Windows 7 and MS Office
•Good working knowledge of server operating systems and components (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
•Strong work ethic, highly motivated and the ability to work independently
•Capable of working on multiple projects at the same time and prioritizing many tasks
•Familiarity with support/ helpdesk ticketing systems
•Able to work evenings or weekends when the occasional need arises
•Reliable transportation for extensive local travel
