Job Description

Manufacturing / Quality Control Technician
Essential Functions

Inspect, diagnose and repair lasers and products.
Assemble, test and prepare products for finished goods.
Solder and repair to component level (electronic)
Optical component assembly and testing.
Perform complex tests using instruments and equipment.
Perform quality inspections on equipment to ensure compliance with FDA & ISO.
Test, measure, and analyze products.
Record pass/fail grade of products.
Ensure company is meeting the standard codes in the manufacturing process.
Assist R&D and Quality Engineering.
Observe dials, gauges and indicators to make sure that a machine is working properly.
Follow lean practices in maintaining a neat and efficient workbench.
Understand and follow SOP’s.
Ability to understand quality methodologies.
Record count number of products tested/repaired/inspected.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following

Associates Degree in a technical field and 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 years manufacturing/assembly experience
Intermediate Computer Skills/MS Office
Ability to think critically, resolve issues and non-routine problems.
Must be able to work independently
Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
