Work for a Central New Jersey company (Hunterdon County) that designs and manufactures DC products

Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Process Coordinator will focus on optimizing existing manufacturing capabilities, driving continuous improvement of manufacturing processing, establishing technical controls for quality and performance of new and existing products, and providing project management support for all departments within the operation.

Job Duties:

-Documents production processes using web-based WYSIWYG editing tools and internal software.
-Works with engineering team to identify new processes and procedural improvements necessary to take prototypes to production.
-Analyzes and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of process design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
-In coordination with respective department production managers, train and audit assemblers and operators in accordance with process documentation.
-Review existing processes and identify enhancement to improve yield, cycle time and quality.
-Facilitate the implementation of engineering changes and process improvements throughout product life cycle.
-Maintain Bill of Operations (BOOs) and standard operations for the company's various assemblies.
-Support production line moves and/or new product introduction by coordinating quality,materials, tools, production line layouts, and process development.
-Support wire harness drawings and changes to internally fabricated wiring fixtures.
-Foster a high level of creativity and independence in the design and development of controls for improved manufacturing processes.
-Work with short notice changes, tolerate interruptions, and commit to extended work hours as necessary.

  Job Requirements  

Requirements:

-Minimum 2-year technical degree
-Minimum 1-3 years direct experience with high-tech manufacturing process implementation.
-Understands and complies with current good manufacturing practices
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-Excellent writing and documentation skills.
-Ability to interface with personnel across many levels within an organization.
-Plan and prioritize activities, perform and monitor multiple overlapping tasks/operations to meet schedule.
-Strong understanding of web-based WYSIWYG editing tools and ability to provide examples about previous usage.
-Experience working with CAD software or ability to learn new software quickly.
-Strong technical writing skills and technology transfer experience.
-Technical project leader able to understand product requirements and how those requirements relate to the end product performance and quality specifications.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited direction and a high level of responsibility to analyze needs, implement improvements, establish and meet objectives.
-Strong organizational skills with exceptional time management.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
