Job Description

Work for a Central New Jersey area manufacturer of metal and plastic containers.

Maintenance Manager:

Provide technical maintenance leadership and management and will be responsible for all Plant maintenance requirements.

Job Duties:
•Direct and coordinate the activities of hourly personnel engaged in machine, mold installation/repair, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and general plant maintenance and repairs.
•Provide engineering maintenance leadership for plant programs in process development, preventative maintenance, tooling and machine programs, updating or replacing of equipment and manufacturing methods, project management of capital projects and new product development of injection/blow molded items.
•Provide focused attention to the quality of preventative maintenance system as it pertains to the product and processes of the plant's injection/blow molded business and ensures the safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment.

  Job Requirements  

Skills and Requirements:
•Minimum 5 years experience in a Maintenance Engineering and Managerial role, with proven leadership abilities.
•Positive safety and environmental protection track record.
•SAP experience
•CMMS experience
•Knowledge of injection molded plastic operations an asset.
•Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft applications.
•Excellent communication, administrative and organizational skills.
•Understanding of Total Preventative Maintenance concepts.
•Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings, equipment manuals and specifications.
•Ability to identify achievable opportunities for improvement.

Education, experience and training Requirements:
•This position requires a minimum of 5 years experience in a related position in the injection/blow molding industry, with a preferred background in packaging manufacturing. BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plastics Engineering (or equivalent industry experience) preferred.
•The position requires progressive knowledge of injection/blow molding process, molding equipment and mold tooling.
•The position requires a strong conviction to equipment maintenance.
