Lead Mechanical Engineer:

Seeking a mechanical engineer to lead the enhancement of the design and manufacturing processes. As a key member of our collaborative, collegial team, you will deep dive into challenging areas that include adhesives technology and the integration of new wireless communications protocols, and you will play a critical role in architecting the product manufacturing pathway. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to our business strategy, work with our software development team and communicate product enhancements to our customers.
Looking to be a key player of a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team, use your creativity and diverse range of engineering experience to explore solutions that change the way businesses and health care institutions identify and interact with their customers and patients.
•Design, build, source and test components and hardware in a fast-paced environment
•Invent and optimize very small mechanical designs for performance and durability
•Integrate mechanical designs with electrical and wireless communications systems, new materials development and form factors
•Develop 3D models and bills-of-material
•Write and review specifications
•Supervise prototype creation
•Develop and release complete documentation package for manufacturing
•Oversee external manufacturing partners and R&D resources
•Participate in risk analysis activities as mechanical subject matter expert
•Stay aware of industry trends to inform our products

Job Requirements

•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical design, materials science and high volume manufacturing
•Proficient in 3D modeling software, statistical, data analysis and computational tools
•Experience with FEA modeling techniques and analysis tools
•Experience integrating component modules (such as power source, communications chip) with soft and hard materials
•Experience in wearables, adhesives and/or soft materials
•Previous experience with IoT and wireless communications (NFC, BLE, etc) is a plus
•Innate inventiveness and ability to thrive in ambiguity
•Desire and ability to work closely with external manufacturing partners worldwide
•Strong organization skills (self-managed)
•Ability to work independently

•BS (MS preferred) in Mechanical Engineering or related field
