Job Description

Our client, located in West Palm Beach, is looking for a Lab Technician for their food manufacturing facility. Qualified candidates will have experience monitoring safety, quality and consistency of all food products produced and ensuring compliance with the Quality Assurance Policies. Practice Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Sanitation Practices (GSP) and safe performance of duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

Daily monitor all HACCP CCPs points. This includes but may not be limited to taking temperatures and conducting Metal Detector effectiveness. Other daily responsibilities include weighing product, conducting microbiology analysis, recording appearance of product, monitoring the sanitizer levels in foot baths, checking the volume of finished product, fat and water analysis, thermometer and scale verifications, sampling product and following Good Laboratory Procedures (GLPs)

  Job Requirements  


Mathematics - Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10?s and 100?s. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Writing - Ability to write a simple letter or internal communication.
Reading - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Equipment - Thermometers, incubator, pressure steam sterlizer, centrifuge, AquaLab water activity analyzer, moisture balance, water bath, balance, calculator, computer (Proficient in Excel and Word)


High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months? related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of HACCP and HACCP Certificate Preferred
