Job Description

Journeyman Electrician

1.Comply with existing safety program and reduce current electrical workplace hazards.
2.Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, control diagrams, PLC logic, etc
3.Hands-on position with majority of time on manufacturing floor completing work orders, specific projects, any other tasks assigned by the Electrical Group Leader.
4.Carry out daily work assignments.
5.Fabricate components with shop equipment.
6.Undertake installation of, setup, replacement, and removal of various manufacturing electrical control equipment to distribution and manufacturing specifications as assigned by the Electrical Group Leader.
7.Comply with all Company policies and procedures including GMP.
8.Undertake special projects as assigned by the Electrical Group Leader.

Job Requirements

1.Journeyman's Electrical license.
2.3+ years of relevant work practice in a manufacturing environment with distribution, manufacturing and control experience.
3.Working knowledge of boilers, HVAC, vacuum, pneumatic, cooling systems and components.
4.Electrical aptitude to decipher root cause analysis of machinery, repair to OEM standards, document existing condition.
5.Knowledge of electrical distribution, transformation, PLC control logic and programming thereof.
6.Complete knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
7.Exercise considerable judgment for complex situations related to the machinery and process.
8.Capable of extended hour commitment and on-call at all times.
9.Ability to sit, kneel, stand, bend, squat, twist, and lift up to 100 lbs.
10.Computer literate with standard Window software (Word, Excel).
11.Strong interpersonal skills to clearly communicate with coworkers, manufacturing personnel, floor supervisors, management staff.
12.Mathematical skills to compute basic math, fabrication geometry layout, distance/area and volume calculations, tolerance computation, metric and standard conversions.
13.Detail oriented, organized, ability to multi-task assignments as needed.
14.Possess valid driver’s license.
15.Communicate (verbal and written) in English.
16.Ability to interpret direction from manager for all tasks as assigned or relevant to the basic mechanic function and not limited to aforementioned description.
