Our client supplies high quality design and manufacturing technology for steam condensers, heat exchangers and pressure vessels to the US Navy, power generation, refinery and chemical process industries. They specialize in corrosion resistant alloy and dissimilar metal fabrications.

Other responsibilities for this individual include:

•Consults with engineering, manufacturing, and other involved functions to ensure quality assurance specifications are met; review related problem with Director, Quality Operations.
• Act as a liaison with certifying agencies and Government representatives with respect to quality control program, specifications, and related documentation.
• Review purchase requisitions for compliance to quality operations specifications.
• Investigate instances of nonconformance and rejected material; develop corrective action and obtain customer or agency approval.
• Conduct audits on all company departments for compliance with the Quality Program Manual; ensure corrective action is taken.
• Conduct on-site audits of subcontractors and material suppliers.
• Perform on-site in-process and final inspections of material prior to shipment.
• Maintains processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, and customer requirements are adhered to.
• Conducts quality source selection and process capability assessments of suppliers to verify their ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions.
• Develops Quality criteria for supplier source selection.
• Works closely with Supplier Management and Supplier Quality to ensure requirements are flowed adequately.

  Job Requirements  

5+ years of dimensional testing experience

Mil-Standard experience

Experience travelling to vendor sites to serve as Auditor and performing final inspections of material prior to shipment

Ability to travel up to 25% both locally and nationally
