Job Description

Our client has focused on the repair, design, and manufacturing of all types of hydraulics systems, equipment, and components for over the past 50 years. They are currently seeking an Hydraulic Mechanic/Technician.

The hired Hydraulic Mechanic/Technician will perform shop work, field service and component repairs. They must be able to perform the following with little to no supervision:

• Fabricate, assemble, service, maintain, and test fluid power systems and equipment.
• Disassemble, repair, and re-assemble fluid power components such as pumps, cylinders, valves, reservoirs, motors, accumulators, filters, and controls.
• Operate test equipment and record data such as fluid pressure and flow rates.
• Interpret test results to determine repairs needed, or if repairs have been made, determine whether they conform to the quality standards set by the company

Their responsibilities include the following:
• Troubleshooting hydraulic, electric, and mechanical systems to determine needed repairs.
• Carrying out repair and troubleshooting assignments with little supervision.
• Executing all assignments with the highest possible level of quality workmanship.
• Insuring finished repairs are fully tested, clean and painted when necessary.
• Working in an efficient manner to maximize time spent working on assignments.
• Completing assignments within time and budget estimates.
• Interacting with customers and coworkers in a responsive and courteous manner.
• Disassembling and reassembling components, equipment, and machinery as needed.

  Job Requirements  

•Clean driving record required
• Read and use measuring tools proficiently including a ruler, scale, micrometer, caliper, pressure gauge and flow meter.
• Proficient use of basic mechanic hand tools
• Proficient use of electric and air tools
• Must own basic hand tools to perform jobs
• Physical requirements include climbing, pulling/pushing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
