Position Summary:

The Help Desk Analyst provides end user support on firm applications and platforms. The Help Desk Analyst identifies, troubleshoots and resolves end user issues to completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Responds in a timely and professional manner to end user requests through email, telephone and in person.
•Investigates user problems, identifies source of problem, determines possible solutions, tests and implements solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
•Creates new user accounts in Active Directory and other firm systems.
•Input and track help desk tickets in TrackIt system.
•Maintain confidentially with regard to information being processed, stored, or accessed by the end users on the network.
•Perform on call work as directed by Director of Information Technology.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
•Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Knowledge and Skills:
•Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs
•Experience with Document Management systems to include Interwoven
•Strong Microsoft Desktop Operating System knowledge
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
•Experience with Video Conferencing systems
•User account creation and management
•Understanding of virtual computing environments
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high pressure environment
•Ability to quickly learn new technologies as they are introduces to firm
•Strong technical trouble-shooting skills
•Ability to interact effectively with firm employees at all levels
•Solid PC / Laptop hardware trouble-shooting skills
•Ability to help end users in stressful, hurried situations

Education and Work Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree preferred
•Minimum 1-3 years experience as a Help Desk Analyst or Applications Administrator in a professional services organization.
•Previous law firm experience preferred

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be needed to carry work materials. Reasoning and analytical skills are necessary to perform essential duties. Manual dexterity is required for computer use. Daily use of general office equipment. This position requires occasional travel using commercial carriers and/or lodging accommodation providers.
