Job Description

Our client, a frozen food manufacturer located in West Palm Beach, is looking to hire a qualified Freezer and Shipping Lead. Work hours will be as early as 530 AM and as late till 12AM, ideal candidates may be placed for first shift/second shift/ or floater.

•Lead and manage all freezer activities, staff, and inventory control.
•Maintain a 'Can Do' attitude to ensure work gets done within the scheduled hours.
•Fill in for freezer and shipping personnel when required.

  Job Requirements  

Duties & Responsibilities:
•Supervise daily shipping of goods and activities of the freezer & shipping team.
•Ensure all inventory shipped is undamaged and all paperwork is complete and accurate.
•Ship product out of the freezers in a timely manner, maintain proper paperwork and lot integrity. Prepare shipment paperwork for employees to pull orders and ensure documents are turned into the front office within 24 hours.
•Ensure that proper inventory labeling and rotation of inventory is being done using FIFO. Product movements must be documented and transferred correctly.
•Ensure inventory is handled properly to minimize damage and preserve quality.
•Ensure all employee orders are pulled correctly and paperwork is complete and accurate.
•Keep equipment clean and in good working order, including scheduling maintenance of equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees.
•Conduct and document safety training for team members.
•Assist with progressive coaching and counseling concepts according to established policies and procedures.
•Operate a lift truck, semi truck, or Trailers around yard for loading or parking when needed.
•Ensure diesel fuel and all pallets are kept to a proper inventory level.
•Assist in the opening and closing of the plant.
Skills & Qualifications:
•Strong mechanical skills, computer user skills and problem solving skills.
•Good ability in mathematics, legible handwriting, and good verbal communication skills.
•Must be physically capable of lifting and manually moving product weighing up to 50 lbs.
•Ability to report inventory or cycle counts when required.

Education and Experience:
•High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one or more years of related experience or training in a related field.
•Understanding of food safety and HACCP standards.
•Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
