Field Service Equipment Technician (Refrigeration)

Job Responsibilities
- Ability to travel, work independently and be flexible regarding frequent changes in schedule.
- Experience performing hands-on electrical, gas, steam and/or refrigeration equipment maintenance.
- Responsible for coordination and prioritizing repair tasks to respond in a timely manner and provide timely repairs and reduced downtime
- Maintain the proper parts and supplies in your service vehicle to properly diagnose and repair customer equipment issues in a timely manner
- Maintain necessary tools on hand to properly diagnose and repair customer equipment issues in a timely manner
- Following proper procedures, order any required parts you do not have on hand to repair customer
equipment
- Work closely with the Dispatch and Lead Technician to determine the route priorities for the day, review customer tickets and paperwork and head out in your company vehicle to your service calls.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, install, rebuild, adjust and replace commercial food service equipment.
- Perform equipment installations during customer off-hours
- Performs major and/or minor repair, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance of commercial food service equipment
- Inspect and verify the operation and safety of commercial food service equipment
- Keep company vehicle clean and maintained.
- Follow proper employee safety policies. Identify and correct unsafe conditions and practices.

Requirements
As a Field Service •Cold Technician I you must possess superb customer service skills, a strong work ethic and the desire to advance your career. Our ideal Field Service •Cold Technician I is
ambitious and committed to the growth of his or her professional skills, with great mechanical aptitude and basic proficiency with hand tools. You must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills. As a result, it is also a requirement for our technicians to possess basic computer skills.

Additional requirements for the Field Service •Cold Technician I include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational school degree or certification preferred
- 2+ years•refrigeration experience with equipment installation and repair required; HVAC experience
required
- EPA 608 Universal Certification required
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to service customers during non-standard business hours and participate in rotating on-call duty
- Ability to pass a background check, Department of Motor Vehicles check and drug screen
- Maintain Valid Driver's License and Good Driving record
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and meet other physical requirements of working in a food preparation area such as bending, stooping, squatting and working in tight spaces
