Summary - Facilities Maintenance Mechanic

Responsible for the repair of powered industrial trucks, repairing equipment in the compounding area and handling maintenance issues for the facility. Research and develop ways to automate and improve production processes. All processing is performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Systems Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP?s) and Health and Safety requirements.

Job Duties:
?Meet with Facilities Maintenance Manager to get daily work assignments
?Complete items as highlighted on machine repair report and truck list daily
?Review machine repair report and truck checklist with Head Mechanic
?Maintain, repair and troubleshoot powered industrial trucks
?Repair plumbing, lighting, and maintenance issues throughout the facility
?Repair equipment in Compounding area
?Remove snow during winter using shovels, and snow removal equipment
?Conduct major facility repair tasks (i.e. roofing issues) as needed
?Prepare facility for meetings, customer tours and visitors
?Conduct PM and audits as designated by Manager
?Conduct the weekly Fire pump testing
?Perform office moves as needed
?Perform other duties as needed or assigned

Job Requirements

Requirements:
?Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. One-year certificate from college of technical school with a concentration in electronics or industrial mechanics, preferred.
?Certifications: Trade School Certification, preferred. Must be certified in at least one of the following trades; Black Seal boiler certification, NJ Electrical certification, HVAC Certification. Willingness to obtain other certifications upon hire. Registered Journeyman, a plus.
?Experience:
?3 years of mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment, preferred
?Ability to read and interpret technical data to include schematics, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
?Ability to operate powered equipment.
?Ability to operate, maintain and troubleshoot process equipment, and make minor adjustments as needed.
?Able to work on sprinkler system, fire pumps, fire panels, high-voltage electrical work
?Comfortable working outside in inclement weather as needed
?Comfortable in working in elevated areas (i.e. roof)
?Knowledge of OSHA regulations, especially lockout/tag out requirements
?Demonstrate safe behavior and support department/plant Safety goals in a continuous improvement process.
?Must read, write and speak in English, and communicate clearly and concisely
?Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculation
?Able to participate in a team-oriented environment, willingness to assist and train others
?Able to work independently with minimal supervision
?Able to work overtime
