Engineering Manager

Our client located in Southern, NJ is currently looking for a Engineering Manager to lead the manufacturing team. This person will manage the day to day activities of the manufacturing team and will be responsible for implementing all continuous improvement processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage all manufacturing engineering functions to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost goals in accordance with company policy deployment.
• Partners with Lean/CI team to develop manufacturing processes and standard work that improve output, reduce defects, improve product quality and reliability.
• Benchmarks best manufacturing practices and assembly techniques. Introduces and implements new and enhanced processes and flows that improve quality, reduce cycle time and reduce cost.
• Functional ownership of item routings, work Instructions and process flow documentation.
• Pro-actively identify and solve problems related to all aspects of manufacturing. Drive innovative problem-solving including value engineering, A3PS, variance reduction, and develop team's technical and professional competencies.
• Responsibility for equipment maintenance, mold, tooling team to support site value streams.

  Job Requirements  

Qualifications:

• BS. Degree in Engineering or Technical Management. Master's Degree preferred.
• 7 years minimum total experience in progressively responsible manufacturing engineering, operations and technical management positions.
• 3 years minimum of people leadership experience leading a technical team.
• Demonstrated experience in manual and automated assembly processes for electronic and mechanical products.
• Demonstrated experience in utilizing lean and operational excellence tools.
