Electromechanical Technician

Technology company is seeking qualified Electromechanical Technician candidates to join our dedicated team in our New Castle, Delaware chemical processing facility. Regional candidates only.


‬Include the following, but other duties may be assigned as business needs require.

•Installs and repairs electrical systems, controsl, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using handtools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment
•Installs and connects power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment following electrical code and blueprints, using handtools and a variety of testing equipment such as volt/ohm/amp meters, signal tracers and other test equipment commonly used in the electrical trades.
•Diagnoses malfunctioning electrical devices, panels, motors, controllers, relays, motor starters, lighting fixtures, transformers, etc., to identify faults and malfunctions and to correct electrical problems mainly on production equipment in an effort to return this equipment to service as quickly and safely as possible.
•Make repairs or correct problems with machinery and process equipment and utilities to keep machines in operation via verbal or written instructions.
•Install, repair, maintain electric and pneumatic systems, including conveyors, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, tanks.
•Disassemble, move, install, align and put into operation new and used machines and plant utilities equipment, including pumps, motors, boilers, chillers, distillation equipment, chemical extraction equipment.
•Prepare Statements of Work (SOW) and work with outside contractors to price and schedule special projects.
•Operate a forklift, high lift and other powered equipment that will be used to lift or transport equipment or personnel during the course of employment.
•Understand and practice the Company’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures including the controlled shut-down and start-up of any production equipment that he or she must service.
•Ability to prepare, read and interpret one-line and wiring diagrams and basic electrical prints. Ability to read and interpret Process & Instrumentation and Piping Diagrams (P&ID).
•Perform routine & unscheduled maintenance of plant machinery in a quick and accurate fashion, including execution of stocking plans and purchase orders of plant consumables and maintenance and spares items.
•Prioritize jobs and coordinate activities with supervisor and other departments.

•‬High School diploma or equivalent.
•6-8 years of training or experience in electrical, controls, piping, rigging equipment setting and other standard electro-mechanical experience typical of a chemical process plant.
•Mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance aptitude to facilitate equipment maintenance planning and scheduling.
•Good interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
•Basic proficiency with PC, spreadsheet, and Word Processing.
•Must be able to read, write and perform simple mathematical functions.
•Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead by example.
•Working knowledge of the chemistry, chemical process utilities, process industry equipment, and process industry service providers.
•Must have the skills and experience to evaluate chemical process yields, material usage efficiency, cycle times, capacities
•Takes initiative and follows through on tasks.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
•Willingness to grow with the company and accept new challenges.
