Work directly for a Central New Jersey area company that develops a wide variety of sample solutions for beauty and wellness brands.

Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

Job Purpose:
To perform necessary machine & Facility diagnostics and repair in the normal course of daily production associated with various high volume filling and assembly equipment including Thermoforming, Vertical and Horizontal Sachet equipment, small glass vial filling equipment, automated assembly equipment, and specialized tube and jar filling equipment. Define related set-up/make ready procedures to assist Technician workforce. Work with manager to develop appropriate preventive maintenance program utilizing available PM tools. Responsible for the Electrical mechanical interfacing between the above mentioned manufacturing processes.

Essential Functions:
1. Maintain production readiness of all related equipment. Special focus on PLC readiness including the logic drawings associated.
2. Train or coordinate the training of Electrical technicians in how to operate existing manufacturing process with attention to Safety. This includes assistance in developing SOPs.
3. Document the quality capabilities and limitations of the existing manufacturing equipment to assist in identifying in process inspection requirements.
4. Identify improvement opportunities for operator/machine safe guards and implement.
5. Identify improvements to the machinery to optimize equipment up time.
6. Identify improvements to address attaching and packing with filling operations to improve direct labor productivity.
7. Coordinate all equipment maintenance, both preventive and reactive.
8. Review and recommend plant layout improvement opportunities.
9. Undertake other special projects at the direction of the Director of Manufacturing.
10. Contact equipment and material suppliers in order to achieve above duties/responsibilities.
11. Take action to assure confidentiality of company's proprietary equipment, materials, and processes.

Additional Responsibilities:
1. Expand working knowledge of the Technician work force.
2. Assist Maintenance Departments with equipment problems.
3. Other duties, as assigned.

  Job Requirements  


1. Bachelor's degree in a related Technical field, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
2. Or Minimum of 7 years•experience in Electro Mechanical Engineering Maintenance in high volume packaging/filling manufacturing processes.
