Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer for a position in Wexford, PA.

Job Duties:
- Presentation of electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs as it relates to Oil & Gas related projects. Typical projects include upstream, midstream and downstream facilities such as Compressor Stations, LNG and processing facilities.
- Project controls, cost estimates, quantity takeoffs and manpower requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders.
- Lead design work and QA/QC plan sets and specifications.
- Client communication and coordination.
- Coordinate with Business Development for the Market Sector Leaders
- Requires a broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and a solid knowledge of principles and practices of related technical areas.
- Requires a broad knowledge of the application of engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials, and the economics involved.
- Performs assignments independently with instruction as to the general results expected and with guidance from Project Manager or Discipline Manager on unusual or complex problems.
- Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to Drafters, Designers, and less experienced Engineers.
- Assign and coordinate work to Drafters, Designers, and Engineers.
- Assume the lead engineer's role on assigned projects.
- Serve as Project Engineer and Client point of contact on smaller, less complex projects.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate program of assigned engineering work and projects.
- Ensure proper interdisciplinary coordination and effective communication on projects.
- Analyze reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other data to plan and design work.
- Assemble bid, approval, and construction issue drawing packages.
- Review bid analyses and make recommendations.
- Attend and participate in Client design review meetings.
- Direct and/or participate in job site visits to collect or deliver design and engineering data.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in an electrical engineering or scientific discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with advance knowledge in electrical engineering, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Electrical analysis software – Experience with ETAP and/or SKM including Arc Flash, Short-Circuit, PD Coordination, Power Quality and Harmonic Analysis
- Direct experience in coordinating electrical design in a multi-discipline engineering team
- Licensed P.E. in Pennsylvania or ability to gain reciprocity or ability to obtain P.E. in near future
- Experience with low and medium voltage applications, switchgear, MCC’s, utility coordination, lightning protection and protection relays
- Leadership and strong communication skills is a must
- Oil & Gas related experience is a plus
- Knowledgeable in National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code (NFPA/NEC) Standards, and Standards Associations including AGA, ANSI/NEMA, IEEE, API
