Job Description

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Design and develop electrical systems, automation supervision and/or components to high specifications, focusing on:
•Economy; Safety; Reliability; Quality; Sustainability.

Manage projects from the concept and detail of the design through to implementation, testing and handover. Overlook electrical and PLC modification with internal teams, external vendors. Define the electrical standards for the plant.

Identifying internal requirements;

Designing internal standards;

Reading design specifications and technical drawings;

Researching suitable solutions and estimating costs and timescales;

Working to BS and EN standards;

Defining “scopes of work’ for electrical/PLC parts of projects;

Supporting process engineer on improvement projects;

Liaising with other department;

Attending meetings on site;

Designing and conducting tests;

Recording, analyzing and interpreting test data;

Proposing modifications and retesting equipment;

Servicing and maintaining equipment for all production lines;

Monitoring a product in use so as to improve on future design;

Must promote a safe working environment and good GMP’s

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in electrical engineering.

Over two years of experience in industrial food process environment.

Ability to multi-task and work independently

Team player with good communication skills

Experience in major investments projects is a plus.

Prior experience in the design, programming, start-up, or troubleshooting of industrial control systems, such as motion/servo controllers, variable frequency drives, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, SQL databases and reports, industrial communication networks, process instrumentation, and up to 480V electrical control equipment.

Lean manufacturing/ Kaisen knowledge is a plus.

Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus.

Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite.

Knowledge of instrument installation.
