Job Title: Data/GIS Manager
Location: Bucks County, PA

Job Description:

Environmental firm is seeking a full time Data/GIS Manager to provide leadership, management, and technical oversight of its EQuIS data management system and ESRI GIS system.

The successful candidate will have a leadership role in designing, developing, monitoring, and modifying the data/GIS management infrastructure to expedite and enhance data collection, analysis and reporting/presentation. They will also provide on-going collaborative support, training and technical assistance to staff on the use of the applicable Data/GIS tools as well as collaborate with the IT Manager on existing and new initiatives, planning efforts, and/or decision-making that impacts both data and technology services.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, and SOPs for Data/GIS management
• Mentor Data/GIS team members and manage their assignments, training, and professional development
• Manage all incoming Electronic Data Deliverables (EDDs) from all data sources and provide additional quality assurance as needed and assist data providers (primarily labs and consultants) with corporate EDD submission requirements
• Maintain EQuIS: set up users and roles; validate the workflows; assist Project Managers with dashboards; set up automated email reporting
• Collaborate with technical staff to ensure that accurate data is readily available for their use/analysis to support and enhance their reporting/presentation requirements
• Develop and conduct technical staff training in available Data/GIS tools (e.g., EQuiS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online)
• Recommend and implement operating methods to improve collection, processing, distribution, analysis, reporting, and presentation procedures
• QA/QC of data and GIS outputs (e.g., tables, figures)
• Develop and maintain Data/GIS budget for existing and new software/hardware
• Identifies new business and technical opportunities to support the advancement of the corporate Data/GIS services

  Job Requirements  

Technical Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, Earth Science, Engineering, Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated high standards for cartographic design, visual communication, and attention to detail are essential
• Experience and expertise in database management, design and implementation
• Thorough knowledge of Data Management and GIS related software such SQL, MySQL, EQuiS, EQuiS Online, ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ESRI ArcGIS Online, Microsoft Power BI
• Knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint/Office 365 to share/analyze the data internally and with clients is recommended
• Experience with UAV (Drones) for site data collection a is plus

Additional Qualifications and Skills:
• Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret directions and communicate/collaborate effectively with staff and clients
• Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and work productively in a collaborative environment
• The candidate must be an independent, self-directed, problem solver capable of working under tight deadlines and responding to the immediate needs of clients
• High initiative with an ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. persuasion, negotiation, listening, cooperation, tact, diplomacy, problem solving, internal consulting, etc.)
