Job Description

FUNCTION

Operate, maintain, repair assigned mechanical, electrical and building systems to high profile customer?s equipment as required as to insure optimal customer relations. This is for a 24X7 Critical Facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responds in a professional, polite and helpful manner when interacting with customer.

Completes assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs requiring conveyor, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC and other equipment, systems or structures. May supervise other employees, as directed by the supervisor or lead.

Develops and maintains a high level of proficiency in at least one of the above trades and is generally well-verses in a number of the above general building trades.

Ensures repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities are performed in a neat workmanship like manner.

Inventories, requisitions materials, tools and supplies needed for each job.

Works according to the schedule prepared by the supervisor and/or lead. Evaluates and prioritizes all priority one breakdowns and responds to calls for repairs and maintenance to minimize downtime.

Monitors and communicates to lead or management any information affecting customer relations with contract.

Thoroughly and accurately completes reactive and preventive maintenance paperwork.

Responds to spills and other emergency situations, performing tasks necessary for the well being and protection of the environment, property and occupants, in accordance with contractual obligations.

Ensures that all Affiliated Building Services and customer work rules are followed.

Maintains all required Facility Services logs and ensures reports are completed correctly and submitted by all assigned personnel in a neat, organized and timely fashion.

Drives automotive equipment to and from work sites.

Inspects vehicle equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water. Checks with supervisor regarding vehicle purchases (ie. tires, batteries, etc.)

Works effectively with other contractors such as refrigeration, control maintenance, water treatment and renovation contractors.

Thoroughly and accurately completes paperwork. Ensures that time worked is accurately entered on work orders.

Learns, understands and complies with fire, safety, and other emergency practices. Informs supervisor of any condition observed to be unsafe.

Learns, understands and complies with all Company and customer policies.

Performs other tasks as instructed including, but not limited to, painting, furniture moving, plumbing, cleaning and assisting other trades as necessary.

  Job Requirements  

Shift Needs:

3rd shift - Monday thru Thursday, 8pm to 630am (hands on hvac / electrical experience is required)
3rd shift - Friday thru Monday, 8pm to 630am (hands on hvac / electrical experience is required)
2nd shift - Friday thru Monday, 12pm to 1030pm (hands on hvac / electrical experience is required)
