Position Summary:

The CAD Services Designer is accountable for the preparation of preliminary drawings, budget pricing, accurate specifications, quotations, final drawings, and installation drawings for company's products. The Designer is required to interface with internal and external sales, architects, designers and project managers to ensure that the company's product is applied and specified as intended to meet the design intent and the base building requirements within the company's application criteria and guidelines.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Create accurate specification drawings and generate Bills of Materials utilizing both AutoCAD and various specification software
2.Liaise with Architects, Designers and Sales personnel to determine design intent (space planning) and translate that information to actual layouts and parts and pieces.
3.Specification Audit- review drawings and BOM against the Audit Check List for dealers.
4.Customer Service: meeting and managing deadlines. Managing projects independently. Proactively seeks opportunities to work with customer/dealer/company Sales to support their business needs Follows through on commitments
5.Organize and maintain project files consistent with Company's Corporate CAD standards.
6.Review the Request For Pricing (RFP's) document thoroughly with Sales & Dealer representatives to assist in Product & Design decisions.
7.Provide technical support to Dealers and Sales Representatives.
8.Review installation plans with Sales / Project Managers / Installers for special conditions as required
9.Creates specials and manage them
10.3D modeling on occasion.
11.Prompt, reliable and regular attendance
12.Perform Specification Audits for Dealers and showrooms.
13.Proactively Project manage the whole Sales/design/PM timeline.

  Job Requirements  

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

•Minimum four-year degree in Design or related degree.
•Knowledge of Furniture (Non-Architectural) products and processes.
•Knowledge of AutoCAD 2013 or latest version
•Good written and verbal communication skills
•Good organizational & time management skills
•Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
•Excellent attention to detail.
