Reports toEngineering Manager / Project Manager

Job purpose

The purpose of the job is to support mechanical and electrical engineers with design / bid and design / build projects. The candidate will develop drawings from sketches implementing design standards, revise drawings per markups, and design less complicated systems, with minimal supervision, associated with various projects. The candidate shall develop an understanding of codes and standards related to various design project.

Duties and responsibilities


•Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
•Develops engineers intent into legible, concise project drawings
•Update project drawings with consultant drawings, i.e. architectural, structural, civil backgrounds
•Able to develop detail drawings
•Able to assist with site surveys, developing legible field markups and photographing existing conditions.


•Education: Associates Degree in Engineering or related technical experience.
•General computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office including Project, Excel, and Word. Candidate must be highly proficient with computers including significant experience with common engineering software programs.
•Significant CAD Drafting experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, with a high level of proficiency.
•Driver's License, clean driving record, and reliable transportation required.

Working conditions

•Regular office hours are 7:00 a.m. •3:30 p.m. but hours will vary based on site visits, project deadlines, and client needs and expectations. Hours can include scheduled and unscheduled weekend and off-hours work, and responding to emergencies.
•Reports to the Dover office
•Travel to client's site, as required. Field time will vary with project demands.
