Job Title: Biotechnician I

Job Description:

Looking for a candidate to work in a GMP laboratory setting where the individual is responsible for using basic lab equipment including: centrifuges.

  Job Requirements  

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain laboratory in proper working order through organization and procurement of supplies, routine maintenance of laboratory equipment, organization and maintenance of reagents, and general laboratory hygiene. Verify and ensure that proper processes and procedures are followed in accordance with SOPs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1.Perform a variety of basic laboratory techniques.
1.Maintain accurate and current documentation using various SOP's in a GMP environment.
2.Communicate results both verbally and in writing with peers and supervisors
3.Maintain and organize laboratory areas. Order supplies as required to maintain efficient workflow.
4.Perform additional job duties necessary within Manufacturing areas as assigned.

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: (Education, Experience, Job Skills, Equipment Skills, and Certifications)

1.Requires a BS in biology, chemistry or related field such as veterinarian studies or equivalent industry experience.
2.0 to 3 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
3.Familiar with QSR, cGMP and ISO regulations and guidelines, optional
4.Computer literate- Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.
5.Good written and verbal communication skills.
6.Proficient with basic laboratory equipment and procedures required for the specific job (balance, ph meter, sterile technique, dilution plating, etc.)

Abilities:

1.Familiarity with SOPs
2.Basic understanding of lab operations
3.Proficiency with basic lab equipment
4.Ability to follow directions
5.Ability to recognize variances in processes, procedure and results
6.Document variances and report
