The role of the BAS Department Manager is to oversee the complete operation of the Building Automation System Group. The BAS Managers goal will be to correct the deficiencies we are currently experiencing with poor Project Performance, and frustration of key team members with lack of communication. The BAS Manager is to make improvements to allow us to complete our projects with minimal mistakes, and to provide a higher level of communication throughout the project with our BAS Team. These improvements will allow us to provide a higher level of customer satisfaction, and will overall lead to less field frustration and cost slippage.


1.Perform weekly meetings with all key Personnel to build relationships with and to help analyze deficiencies with existing processes.

2.Develop trust with all key Employees (Sales, PM's Engineers and Programmers) through a higher level of communication and accountability.

3.Review existing processes for work flow from sales to execution to completion. This will include learning and understanding the following steps of performing a BAS project:
•Sales Process
•Booking Process
•Engineering Phase
•Material Ordering
•Execution Phase •PM's and Programmers Role as it relates to the project.
•Financial Overview of the Project
•Closeout Phase
4.Have meetings weekly with President to provide updates.
5.Become familiar with our Sales Management program, Microsoft Dynamics to provide management and oversight of the Sales Team.
6.Attend weekly Scheduling Meeting to become familiar with current manpower scheduling.
7.Have a generalized overview on what steps will be needed in executing a plan to successfully manage the Department.


Must have a BS degree in Engineering, Business or comparable area.
Must have 7-10 years of hands-on management experience in technical field or industry.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills.
Must be organized with a strong attention to detail and company vision.
Able to manage and partner with all levels of personnel across the company
