Job Description

Our client in Doral is looking for an Avionics Technician to join their team and grow through the ranks within. This person must know how to test, repair or overhaul electronic, mechanical, radio equipment, and electro-mechanical components.

Responsibilities:

• Test, fault isolate, repair avionics electronic, radio, instrument and electro-mechanical components to include but not limited to: ADF (ADF-700/ DFA-75A/ ADF-900), MARKER BEACON, ILS CONTROL PANEL, DMI, TRANSPONDER, RADIO ALTIMITER (LRA-700/ LRA-900), VHF, HF (HFS700/ HFS-900), VOR CONTROL PANEL, BAROMETRIC ALTIMETER, VERTICAL AIRSPEED INDICATOR, MACH AIR SPEED, RDMI, PIMU, PACK FLOW, CHRONOMOMETERS, CABIN PRESSURE SELECTOR PANEL, STANDBY ENGINE INDICATOR.
• Needs to be familiar with a variety of the work shop concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish individual goals for maximum productivity.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks, while keeping the highest quality standard. Usually reports to the lead technician, supervisor, or manager.

  Job Requirements  

Requirements:

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Understand, speak, write, and read English, as well as a basic knowledge of math.
• Advanced dexterity with hand tools and instruments.
• Extensive experience with Testing, Troubleshooting, Repairing and calibrating components, using OEM schematics, diagrams, Component Maintenance Manuals
(CMMs) and other documents such as modifications and customer EO�S.
• 8 years minimum experience in component repair, or related technicity level areas.
• Must possess the ability to understand and follow written instructions from technical procedures, best practices, reliability work scopes and other documents.
• Must possess the ability to solder and de-solder electronic components surface mounted.
• Must have considerable knowledge and experience with radio, RF circuitry wave guides, digital or analog electronics and advanced testing equipment, as well as using ATE equipment. (Voltmeters, Oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, function generators, etc.) Pulse Circuitry.
• Must be adaptive and willing to engage new concepts, processes and technical capabilities.
• Must possess the ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Has high level understanding of technical work shop culture and comfortable working in fast paced environment
