Our client located in Southern, NJ has been designing, manufacturing, integrating and supporting the most sophisticated and advanced pressure sensitive labeling solutions in the marketplace. Their clients include companies across the following sectors including Pharmaceutical, Medical, Consumer Products and Personal Care. They are currently looking for a Field Service Controls Engineer to work on customers site and help with the maintaining and testing of their products. Technical Skills
•Excellent motion control troubleshooting skills
•Allen Bradley PLC programming (ControlLogix) is required
•Strong HMI skills: A.B. Factory Talk ME, SE
•Good understanding of networking technologies (i.e. Ethernet IP, DeviceNet, Profibus)
•Good understanding of vision inspection technologies and suppliers (i.e. Cognex, Systech)
•Good understanding of various printing technologies for labeling systems such as ink and laser (i.e. Videojet and Domino)
•Able to understand and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systemsrelating to high speed complex labeling systems

•Maintain communication with the department manager while in the field (travel up to 50% depending on workload)
•Provide general customer service on the phone and in person
•May be required to travel on short notice
•Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair units while in the field
•Maintain records of service calls, training, and expenses
•Study technical manuals and attend training sessions provided by equipment manufacturers to maintain current knowledge
•Hands-on programming, starting-up and trouble-shooting of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)/Human Machine Interface (HMI) projects for industrial automation equipment
•Capable of generating formal documentation of program code modifications for use in customer's change control system
•Focus on upgrades of existing equipment
•Support manufacturing when required and help perform and conclude both Pre-FAT and FAT
•International and domestic travel required
•Must be a solid ambassador for the company and project a professional image when interfacing with customers

  Job Requirements  


•3 years of hands-on experience working with automation or packaging equipment
•Pharmaceutical and/or Food cGMP experience a plus


•BS Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics Engineering or Equivalent Experience Preferred
