Job Description

Position: Applications Engineer
Location: Lehigh Valley, PA

Our client is seeking an Applications Engineer for their headquarters location in the Lehigh Valley. They are seeking candidates with general Mechanical Engineering experience and with a specialty in valves and fluid control for up to three openings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Engineering consulting support to sales organization, and address technical applications for products to customers, owners, code officials and installers. This includes telephone and written correspondence to address customer's technical inquiries and investigating field installations as to product usage and performance.
• Address direct customer inquiries regarding product features, benefits and applications.
• When appropriate, visit customer's facilities to address technical inquiries and seminars.
• Participate in product development.
• Create technical documents/white papers.
• Investigate product performance issues at field installations and with returned materials.
• Conduct training sessions and presentations with new employees, sales personnel, and customers to educate them on the features and benefits of our products and services.
• Serve as an internal resource on product issues, representing the customer’s needs.
• Continually update personal knowledge of company products, competitive products, and piping markets.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred; will consider Associate's Degree.
• Minimum of 2 years experience required.
• Experience in valves and fluid control
• Excellent communication skills and professional appearance required.
• Organizational skills and ability to set priorities required.
• Ability to apply theoretical analysis to real-world applications.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish (bilingual) is a plus but not required
• Willingness to travel, including internationally, up to 25%.
